Creek to College Application Boot Camp
8:00 am - 3:00 pm each day
at Cherry Creek High School
Who should attend this Boot Camp?
This two-day Boot Camp is for rising seniors of Cherry Creek High School who want additional guidance through the college application process. This process is often the most stressful part of the senior year. Every parent and student wants this process to go quickly and smoothly, and this program can help. Boot Camp takes the stress of finding the right fit and determining deadlines off the parent and the student. By the end of Boot Camp, every senior who participates will have a solid foundation or completion of the following:
- The Common Application
- The Senior Questionnaire on Naviance
- The College Application Essay
- The College Resume
- An Individualized College Application Timeline
Why do we have the program in the early summer?
Good question! The Common Application essay and basic components are available to work on in May and will switch over on August 1st of each year. The Cherry Creek High School start date is early and we are unable to have Boot Camp on dates after the new Common Application essay prompts switch over.
Program bonus!
The program hosts College Admission Representatives as well as our CCHS Faculty who will be reviewing the students college essays and providing them with feedback. In addition, the college representatives/counselors will share their expertise on the following topics: You are the College Admissions Counselor, Choosing a College, College Interview, and Financial Aid and Scholarship Overview.
What is the Common App, you ask?
The Common Application (CA) is an application that is accepted by more than 800 colleges and universities in the United States and several international schools. With one application, one main essay, and possible supplemental essays, seniors can apply to multiple schools.
Colorado College, University of Colorado-Boulder, University of Denver, Colorado State University, Western State University, University of Northern Colorado, and Regis University are current members. All Schools belonging to the Common Application can be found at www.commonapp.org.

Tuition
The Program is LIMITED to the first 175 completed registrations with full payment of $150.
The tuition fees pay honorariums (stipend) for the program faculty, printing, and office supplies, water, lunch, and snacks each day.
What if you can't afford it? A limited amount of financial aid is available. Please contact your counselor if interested.

Waitlisted students will be notified of an available spot sometime in May, and will be provided a digital link for RevTrak to pay and secure the registration.
What is the "Stand By" option? Students who are willing to be on stand by on the morning of May 29 (who can attend on short notice if a registered student does not attend) are encouraged to communicate with Post Grad about this option if they were not offered a spot after being on the wait list.
